Policy and Procedures

The King’s University Students’ Association’s (TKUSA’s) nominations and election campaigns are governed by TKUSA’s election policy and procedure.  It is each candidate’s responsibility to ensure that all aspects of their nomination process do not violate the provisions of both TKUSA’s elections policy as well as the rules governing The King’s University. 

important dates

Mandatory Candidate’s Meeting  – Friday March 11th, 2022, 5:00 pm @ TKUSA’s Office

  • The CRO will brief candidates on the election process and regulations. Candidates will have the opportunity to ask questions.

Nomination Deadline – Friday March 11th, 2022, 3:00 pm

  • The nomination form must be completed by this time to be considered.

Campaigning – Monday March 14th - Friday March 18th, 2022

  • All campaigning must abide by TKUSA’s elections policies and procedures.

Question Forum – Wednesday March 16th, 2022, 12:00 pm-1:00 pm @ The Level

  • All candidates are required to present at this forum.  

  • Candidates will be given an opportunity to present their platform speech. 

  • Each candidate will be given two questions to answer after their presentation by the current President of TKUSA who will be moderating the forum and by students.  

Voting – Monday March 21st - Wednesday March 23rd, 2022, 3:00 pm

  • Polls will be open via an email voting system, NO campaigning is permitted during this time.

Post-Election Introduction Meeting – Thursday March 24, 2022, 3:30 pm @ TKUSA’s Office

  • The Students’ Association and the training process for the candidate’s respective position will be introduced.

Executive Instalment Meeting – Monday March 28th, 2022, 3:30 pm via Zoom

  • The meeting will include a motion to ratify the voting results and to install elected candidates to their elected positions and term on the Executive Board, which will begin on May 1st, 2022.
